‘The Delivering Hope initiative shows that every heartbeat, every story, every act of courage is proof that life and love still triumph,’ says National Medical Director Dr. Karysse Hutson
PLANO, Texas — With the holiday season in full swing, many are searching for ways they can share hope and healing with those who need it most. This year, Save the Storks’ year-end theme, Delivering Hope, is designed to deliver hope, transform fear into faith and turn uncertainty into life for mothers facing unplanned pregnancy.
The organization’s Delivering Hope initiative invites individuals and families to take part in building a supportive, hope-centered community. The initiative will share real stories of courage, healing and new beginnings, and show how acts of compassion and faith can change the course of a life.
“When a woman faces an unplanned pregnancy, fear often feels louder than faith,” said Dr. Karysse Hutson, National Medical Director for Save the Storks. “Our work at Save the Storks reminds her that she’s not alone and offers her the holistic support she needs to continue her pregnancy. The Delivering Hope initiative shows that every heartbeat, every story, every act of courage is proof that life and love still triumph.”
Delivering Hope invites supporters to follow daily stories highlighting what hope looks like in action — from courtroom courage to healing after heartbreak. Each day features a unique theme underscoring how everyday people deliver hope to mothers, fathers and families in crisis.
Through the initiative, Save the Storks aims to eliminate the obstacles to motherhood, prioritizing one of the organization’s eight pillars of care areas: physical and mental healthcare. By launching more Mobile Medical Clinics across the U.S., providing free access to life-saving ultrasounds and care, bringing life-affirming, pro-mom support directly to vulnerable women, equipping partners nationwide to reach more mothers-to-be, and unlocking motherhood resources for future moms, Save the Storks is putting faith into action.
The organization’s initiative highlights four ways delivering hope to a woman when she needs it most can make a life-changing difference:
1. Help women choose life
Most women facing unplanned pregnancies only need one moment of hope to see the truth and choose life for their babies. Through Save the Storks Mobile Medical Clinics, expectant mothers receive free ultrasounds and compassionate care right where they need it most. When a mom steps onto a Mobile Medical Clinic for an ultrasound, she will see her baby and hear the baby’s heartbeat — both for the very first time. It is on these state-of-the-art mobile clinics that she chooses life three out of four times.
2. Provide a support system for moms who don’t have one
While many people are scrolling for holiday sales, women are facing the reality of an unplanned pregnancy alone. With a support system she doesn’t have this holiday season. Save the Storks provides both compassionate care and practical help for moms throughout the holidays and into the new year.
3. Reflect God’s heart
Giving isn’t just a physical act. It is a spiritual practice, a way to surrender what God has given us to care for the least of these. And just as God always knows what is best, science confirms that generosity not only helps others, it also blesses the giver. Research shows that giving can release serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin, lower blood pressure, and even increase lifespan.
4. Deliver hope to women nationwide
Delivering Hope is the heart behind Save the Storks. CEO Diane Ferraro has seen this firsthand. After receiving a Saturday afternoon call about a young woman who regretted taking the abortion pill, she prayed with her and helped her find immediate care. Three days later, the woman heard her baby’s heartbeat again.
“Delivering Hope isn’t just an initiative — it’s what happens when someone chooses to answer the call,” Ferraro said.
“Together, we are writing new stories of redemption,” Dr. Karysse Hutson said. “From courtrooms to clinics, we are proving that hope still wins.”
