“You have meant so much to me. I can never repay you for helping me when I was afraid and alone.”
A Morning Marked by Prayer
Early one morning, the team of Triad Coalition for Life (Greensboro, NC) arrived at their Save the Storks Mobile Medical Clinic with hearts full of prayer and expectation—believing the Lord was going to move. They had been told that the first patient of the day was abortion-minded, but that was all they knew.
Soon, Kayla stepped onto the mobile clinic. She was quiet, but sweet. As the staff welcomed her in, they gently began asking questions, doing their best to create a safe and calm space. Their only goal was to understand what was going on in her life.

Kayla began to share her story. Just days earlier, she had been on a birthday trip with friends when she started feeling sick. Her friends encouraged her to take a pregnancy test—“just to amuse them,” she said. But the result was positive.
The clinic administered a pregnancy test of their own. As the result was given to her, Kayla quietly said, “Positive,” and then broke into tears.
Fear Rooted in Past Trauma
As the team sat with her, the full weight of her fear poured out. Kayla shared that she had previously experienced an ectopic pregnancy. She also explained that when her daughter was born, the baby required emergency heart surgery. Now, faced with another unexpected pregnancy, fear and trauma came flooding back.
“I can’t go through all this again,” she cried. “I can’t.”
The team gently moved forward with an ultrasound. As soon as Kayla saw the tiny flicker of a heartbeat on the screen, she cried again—this time overwhelmed by emotion and the reality of the life growing inside her.
Still repeating, “I can’t do this,” the staff carefully talked through her options. But they didn’t stop there. They pointed her to something greater. They reminded Kayla that she was not alone. That God had a plan for her life. That even in her fear, He was near. As they talked, they noticed the word trust tattooed down her arm. Gently, they pointed to it and said, “Kayla, you can trust Him—even now.”

A Return Filled With Hope
Kayla left that day thankful—for a safe place, for support, and for people who didn’t judge or pressure her, but simply loved her and pointed her toward hope. She agreed to return for a follow-up appointment.
When Kayla came back, she was different. She was still a little nervous, but her face carried a new light. She was excited. Hopeful. Ready to see her baby again.

“I’m so thankful that I talked to y’all first,” she shared, “before I made a life-changing decision.”The team embraced her, prayed with her, and gifted her a handmade quilt and a bracelet that read trust. More than anything, they reminded her once again that she was not alone.
“You Have Meant So Much To Me”
A couple of weeks later, as the team was setting up the mobile clinic for the day, someone approached the unit unannounced. It was Kayla—holding a box of doughnuts and wearing a grateful smile.
“You have meant so much to me,” she said. “I can never repay you for helping me when I was afraid and alone.”
And that is why this work is done. Because every woman matters. Every story matters. And every life is worth fighting for—with truth, love, and compassion.

You Inspire This Work: Because of You, She Wasn’t Alone
Kayla’s story did not happen by chance. It happened because of people who chose to stand in the gap before she ever walked through the clinic doors.
Because of donor support, the Mobile Medical Clinic was there that morning. Because of generosity, Kayla was met with medical care, an ultrasound, and a compassionate team ready to listen without judgment or pressure. And because of faithful partners, she had the time, space, and support she needed to make a life-changing decision.

You inspire us: the mom who chooses life, the donor who supports, and the staff at each clinic who are there when she needs it most. Every role matters. Every yes matters. And together, these are the people who make stories like Kayla’s possible.
Your support doesn’t just fund a clinic—it creates moments of clarity in the middle of fear, replaces isolation with hope, and reminds women like Kayla that they are not alone. Because of you, lives are changed, families are strengthened, and hope is made visible—one woman at a time.
