Haley’s Story (trigger warning*)
*The following paragraphs contain content that might trigger or upset some audiences.
At 18, Haley had already been pregnant four times.
Of her four pregnancies, two ended in satanic ritual abortions. While she carried the other two to term, tragically, the temple sacrificed her children as offerings. One was at 16 months, and the other was at 18 months. As the stepdaughter of a warlock1, Haley’s father trafficked her for sex.
By the grace of God, Haley encountered a Mobile Medical Clinic where she met nurse and advocate Amanda. We interviewed Amanda, who saw the connection between The Satanic Temple and the human trafficking ring after Haley sat down with her and shared her vulnerable story.
“I don’t share this story often because the spiritual warfare is so thick,” Amanda commented.
Haley described to Amanda how the Satanist’s loyal followers would track her menstrual cycle. With this knowledge, they would drug her and rape her when she was ovulating to impregnate her for more satanic ritual abortions. “She told us flat out the inner workings of the trafficking,” Amanda added. Amanda was able to connect her with the safe house ministry in town that houses human trafficking victims. Through Amanda and our Mobile Medical Clinic (MMC), Haley was able to escape the satanic community and the human trafficking industry.
With 46 satanic temples located across the United States, how many more women like Haley are suffering such ongoing evil?
Satanism Today
In recent news and award shows, such as the Grammys, there has been a noticeable surge in the incorporation of satanic symbols and beliefs into mainstream culture. This past November, the prominent magazine Cosmopolitan published an article endorsing ‘satanic ritual abortions.’
Cosmopolitan attempted to defend its blatant posts with claims that satanism is not actually the worship of the devil. They claimed it’s a nontheistic religion in which the devil is a ‘mascot.’ Still, the Cambridge Dictionary defines it as ‘the worship of Satan’.
In the same Cosmopolitan article, the executive director of the Satanic Temple, Erin Helian, commented, “People underestimate us and think we’re just trolling as a joke. But there’s a gift to not being taken seriously. It gives us a bit of a David vs. Goliath impact. We can sneak in at the right moment and shoot with our sling.”
There’s irony in Helian’s statement. David was on God’s side. And God always wins in the battle for life.
How the Mobile Medical Clinic Saved a Trafficking Victim
While most Mobile Medical Clinics typically station themselves near local Planned Parenthood facilities, Amanda’s MMC tried something new. This MMC developed a novel strategy to extend its reach to more women and identify potential trafficking victims in the community.
Amanda’s MMC strategically parks outside strip clubs and in areas of the town with a history of trafficking incidents. Once women are in the MMC, staff on board identify signs that a patient might be a victim of human trafficking. Staff help women connect with a local safehouse ministry dedicated to providing shelter for women escaping the sex trafficking industry.
The adaptability of our MMC traveling to provide care plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the women residing in the ministry.
When these women step outside, they expose themselves to the potential danger of being discovered by the very human traffickers they managed to escape. To address this risk, our MMC travels directly to the safehouses, offering women access to complimentary STD/STI testing, pregnancy tests, and ultrasounds.
“It was so important that we could travel to the girls at these safe houses because they were being tracked, and they could be at risk of being kidnapped out of the ministry,” Amanda explains.
This is why our Mobile Medical Clinics consistently evolve and expand their services to support women in innovative and impactful ways.
Pursuing Abortion as a Religious Ritual
Before the overturning of Roe v. Wade, in 2021, Texas enacted the “Heartbeat Bill,” which banned abortions after six weeks, the point at which a fetal heartbeat occurs. In response to this, The Satanic Temple utilized the Religious Freedom Restoration Act to defend their right to abortion as a religion recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). A federal judge in the Southern District of Texas dismissed the lawsuit filed by the organization.
Now, they’ve promoted the “satanic ritual abortions” to support their claim that abortion is a religious act for the community.
What is a religious satanic abortion ritual?
The organization officially introduced “Satanic Abortion Ritual” in August 2020, as reported by Religion Dispatches. It’s a well-timed challenge to laws banning abortion.
The ritual involves looking in the mirror and reciting three tenets and affirmations prescribed by the organization. After the abortion is complete, the woman says, “By my body, my blood, by my will, it is done.”
This is eerily reminiscent of Luke 22:19-20, “And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, which is given for you… This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.’” The phrase “it is done” also mirrors Jesus’ words, “It is finished,” as he died on the cross in John 19:30.
Amanda comments on the spiritual warfare surrounding abortion, stating, “Pro-life believers need to be aware…This is real, and we need to be alert to it.”
The Spiritual Warfare Surrounding Abortion
Abortion is steeped in spiritual warfare. But it doesn’t end here. Together, our prayer has the power through Christ to change things for women and babies exploited by pro-abortionists.
Amanda believes that we will overcome this, “Our God is bigger than the enemy. The more we’re able to love and help these girls out of this darkness and not glorify the enemy, the better.”
Haley eventually gave her heart to the Lord and is in the healing process as she works through her trauma. Pray for Haley and other women like her who are going through the healing process after experiencing the trauma of abortion.
Your ongoing giving helps free more women like Haley from sex trafficking and the pain of abortion every day of the year.
