This week, Save the Storks and our partner Hills Women’s Health joined forces to bring Christmas cheer to a deserving expectant mom.
Save the Storks CEO Diane Ferraro teamed up with our amazing partners at 7 Hills Church and Hills Women’s Health to bring Holiday cheer to a local mom who had recently visited their Mobile Medical Clinic in her time of need. When Ferraro learned of this special mom’s situation, she was determined to rally support and provide gifts from this mom’s Christmas list.
“We wanted to surprise her with an early Christmas,” said CEO Diane Ferraro.
When Bre, the expectant mother, first stepped into the clinic just months prior, she was surprised that she received more than just a pregnancy confirmation. “I was on the Stork Bus, and I met so many supporters,” says Bre. The staff on board walked her through prenatal care and gave her an ultrasound, during which she saw her baby for the first time. Overwhelmed by their compassion, she thought, “Wow, all these people here for me.”
Bre attends 7 Hills Church and the Legacy worship night every week. This chilly December evening, Bethany Vaughn, the Executive Director of Hills Women’s Clinic Mobile Medical Clinic, parked outside the festive church and asked Bre to arrive an hour before the youth service. But she had no idea she was in for a special holiday surprise.
Save the Storks and Hills Women’s Health blessed Bre with items from the top of her Christmas wish list. This included a crib, mattress, spa package, and gift card to help make her transition into motherhood a little smoother.
After receiving the gifts, Bre shared her heartfelt gratitude and excitement, saying, “I’m very happy. I feel very loved.”
